Nine lakecity soccer players were afforded the chance to play soccer abroad recently through the Vancouver-based European Football School.

Patricia Miles may be spending the next two weeks on a soccer tour through Europe, but that doesn't mean the 17-year-old Grade 11 Kelly Road secondary student is letting her school work slide. She has calculus homework to stay on top of.
Her Prince George teammate on the North Vancouver-based European Football School girls squad, Mitchell Redpath, will celebrate her 17th birthday during the side's stop in Belgium.

The European Football School has just completed its 19th playing tour to Europe since its inception in the year 2000. Our young women's team made up of 18 players aged 15 to 17 years old, returned to Canada at the end of May from a 14 day playing tour of Holland, Germany and Belgium.

The European Football School, under head coach, Saibo Talic, announced the Tour 2015 for girls. Laguna Beach California Tour (U13/U14 Girls) April 23 - 28, 2015, and Holland, Germany & Belgium Tour (U16/U17/U18 Girls) May 5 - 19, 2015.

Soccer duo headed to Europe with EFS

In a little under two months Rachel Bootsma and Julia Anderson will embark on the opportunity of a lifetime.
The pair of Shuswap Youth Soccer Association players will be heading to Europe for two weeks in May with Saibo Talic and the U17 and U18 European Football School.
“It’s a really great opportunity for these girls. This is the kind of thing they will remember for the rest of their lives,” said Kevin Harrison, SYSA executive director.
